It is mostly designed for the window and may work on smoother dash. We do have the DMOUNT that is designed specifically for the dashboard.

No, this is for phones / cases up to:

Will the mount with the magnet hold an iPhone 8 Plus and an Otterbox Defender case?
This item has no magnet. It is a suction cup and it holds a Samsung galaxy 8+ with a case easily.
