A comparison This is my second Macally. I broke the first - 100% my fault — it got submerged in liquid and was left there for several hours. 😬First Macally purchased is on the right — the larger of the 2.Second one purchased (smaller) is on the left. I’ve had it a few weeks.I’ll refer to the first (right) as #1 and the second (left) as #2.I really liked #1, but I love #2. I got #1 because it’s cordless and I thought a cord would get in the way. Turns out I kept it attached to the cord the entire time I used it, didn’t want it to get lost. (They sell a cordless version of #2 it’s just more expensive than the $20-ish I paid for each of these.#2 is a better fit for my hand.The scroller on both works well. The scroller on #2 is more seamless to use.Both have very gentle clicks.I’ll update if I think of anything else.

Better than original mouse on my 12 year old iMac. Mouse great but wish mice manufacturers would provide adjustable or alternate length connecting cords. This one is so long I had to bunch it and clip it together to avoid it sprawling all over the desk.

Because of some important details, this mouse will last This is a photo of the cable for this mouse. The red arrow points to what are called strain reliefs. They're thickened insulation to keep an electrical cord or cable from bending at a sharp angle. They also prevent the plastic shell of the mouse from cutting into the cord, or fraying and falling apart at the other end. It's a tiny, inexpensive detail that means that this mouse will probably last much longer. I always hate it when I have to replace something that isn't that old because the cable falls apart.

Easy to Use, and Nice and Simple I wanted a simple, fairly silent, plug-and-go mouse, and this one fit the bill. It works, does what it's supposed to, and the click is fairly quiet.
It just works... all the time Mouse is smooth and connected to Mac mini without a hitch. This Mac mini system controls and is a movie server for an 82 inch Samsung and all the TVs on my network. So this is not a heavy duty application for this mouse.... but I love that it is wired, lightweight and just works.

Disappointed Disappointed. The mouse is coming apart or was never secured in the first place. It’s almost like it’s missing a couple screws. I didn’t expect much for the price but figured it would at least be intact.
Seventh time was the charm! After trying no fewer than seven mice (one of them a different Macally mouse), I finally got one that worked. I specifically wanted an old fashioned wired mouse so that I wasn't having to mess with or worry about batteries or recharging. Good ones are getting harder and harder to find. This is a good one. Make sure you get the white one, as the three black ones I tried all had something wrong with them.

Macally Mouse + iMac(2009) = 5 STARS Well my optical Bluetooth Apple Magic Mouse died after almost 10 years, and I needed a replacement. I have never had to buy a replacement mouse before so I really didn't want to invest a lot of money. I also didn't really need a whole bunch of "Magic" and Bluetooth plus batteries like forever. I plugged my new Macally Mouse into my iMac before turning the iMac on. I then turned my iMac on and moments latter I was moving the little pointer on the screen, all nice, smooth, and silent. Macally Mouse scores 5 STARS.

Having had an Apple mouse for the last 2 years, I found it too annoyingly high tech! I wanted something that works really well but was more straightforward. This Macally is it! It works well, is indeed quiet and does everything I want it to do.
The long cord is great, and it is VERY silent. The main problem is how small it is. Maybe I just have big hands, but it is TINY.
Works "good", lasts long time.
