Very good inexpensive replacement for the original Apple keyboard
It's light, portable and oh, so simple to set up! At first I had a bit of trouble using it--the keys tended to not work right. But then...I popped up the risers in the back. That little bit of angle made all the difference. Now it's totally perfect. I love this keyboard! And loved the price!
No complaints, the keyboard is fine. I didn't check my old keyboard for position of the /,*,-,+ on the keypad and this one is different. The - is "too far" but I'll get used to it. Also, I liked the loose touch of the ooold (and old-fashioned) ikey, but the touch on this one is pretty standard these days.
I have a new Mac. The thing didn’t fit into the port but I was able to buy an adapter at Best Buy. I really like the keyboard. It is much better than the very small keyboard that came with the computer.
Key board is not level. It bounces when I type on it. The symbols on the top row (numbers row) are too small to see easily with my older eyes. The top row with the hot keys is convenient but I still would not recommend this keyboard to anyone.
I wanted to try a different brand of low profile and membrane keyboard compatible to Mac. Unfortunately this Macally keyboard did not work out and I went with a Logitech keyboard instead for around the same price. Big difference in quality.
I got my first Mac in 1984. This keyboard has the old-fashioned keystrokes that I like, plus legs that angle it up (I extend them even more, but I can start with these).
To be honest, I purchased this keyboard as a back-up as I suspect that my current keyboard, which I purchased from you in the past, was having issues. When I received it I noticed that this new keyboard didn’t have the two USB ports on the back that my current keyboard has. Can you tell me why this new keyboard has no USB ports on the back?
I Had great difficulty getting this to work properly with my 2017 iMac some of the shortcut keys do not do the intended function. Keyboard is very clacky and noisy and fast typing was not comfortable to use and the marked keys reflected the overhead light and I could not see the markings. I really expected this keyboard being a Mac keyboard to work more fluently with the iMac with left less fiddling of the keyboard shortcut settings in the preferences. I would return this keyboard, but it’ll probably be a headache doing so and I will probably get charged a restocking fee, so I’m just going to give it to my nephew and be done with it!
I already purchased an A/1243 Apple wired keyboard from eBay at a price that was worth the purchase and works the way it should! I will not purchase any more products from Mac Ally, as the quality of the products does not seem very good!
